1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Librack ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Librack is a library management platform that enables organisations to catalogue books, manage loans, track memberships, and communicate with members through events and announcements. The Service is provided as a web application accessible at librack.com.
3. Accounts and Registration
You may register using email and password or through Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Organisation administrators may invite members and manage roles within their organisation.
Parent account holders may create dependent profiles for children who do not have their own email address. The parent is responsible for all activity on dependent profiles.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malicious, offensive, or infringing content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create on Librack (book records, posts, events, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. You may delete your content at any time.
6. Organisations
Organisation administrators are responsible for managing their organisation's data, members, and settings. Each organisation operates independently within Librack. Data is segregated between organisations — members of one organisation cannot access data from another. Organisation administrators may define their own regulations, which members must accept to use the organisation's library.
7. Intellectual Property
The Librack platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission. Your data and content remain yours.
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep Librack available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion is permanent. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the platform or by email. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Romania.
